Sweet Magnolia received the honors of a ribbon-cutting Wednesday morning from the Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce at the shop located at 5675 West Andrew Johnson Highway in Morristown.
“We have another new business in the Morristown area,” Chamber President Dr. Tony Miksa said. “It’s so great to see this. I’m always excited to see new businesses open here.”
The Sweet Magnolia is the dream of co-owner Brooke Louviere, a native of Louisiana.
“The ‘Sweet Magnolia’ name comes from all of my grandparents,” Louviere said. “They all had magnolia trees in their backyards. We used to all sit under them. One grandparent had a swing. When I think of magnolia, I think of my grandparents, my childhood and how much my grandparents mean to me.”
The Sweet Magnolia specializes in home décor items. Louviere placed her first order for new items Tuesday.
“Every eight weeks that rep is going to come, so we’ll have new stuff often,” she said.
